Look at this cute drill bit from Baker Hughes:
Baker Hughes is an oil company based in Texas and they’re one of the most successful hydraulic fracturing (fracking) companies in the US. That trademark Susan G. Komen pink has been licensed to Baker Hughes for $100,000 to use on their drill bits, the same drills that crack through the earth to reach oil and natural gas deposits, making waste materials in the process that have been linked to various forms of cancer — including breast cancer.
This isn’t the first time Susan G. Komen has sold out for a payday. They’re always doing business with companies who have links to carcinogens, but y’all can keep on wearing those little pink ribbons as if the company has anything to do with women’s health anymore.
how the heck did this show
That had great characters
interesting characters who dealt with difficulties, prejudice, and fear
a show that had a great plot
that contained love and friendship
a show that could get dark but managed to say light-hearted and funny
that also managed to complement the original series
how oh how did it become this
